Me yukkin’ it up on Skid Row with some of the sweetest souls on the planet.

In 2010 I was offered a  killer job. It was exactly a one minute morning commute, offered flexibility for my family life, involved everything I love and am passionate about, AND involved a gorgeous walnut desk in an oversized office with floor to ceiling books and a view of the Colorado Rockies and Continental Divide.  So of course I said no.

Thank God (for real), they called back. With three spectacular kids at home at the time, a husband who likes to relax by working overtime, and a super-sized plate overflowing with writing, working, volunteering and having fun, I wasn’t sure a new full-time job was in order. Especially one at a church. I mean, I didn’t need people suddenly thinking I’d gotten all churchy on them. Turns out this job, these people, this magnificent thing, has been the best job I’ve ever had. Go figure.

Together we have created something so cool. It’s not preachy or churchy, just straight up loving on kids and helping them to grow into the awesome adults they’re meant to be. It’s perfection in the most messy sense of the word. And it gives me LOTS to talk about.

I’d love to hear from you!
